Active Older Adults

Did you know….Older adult functioning is positively influenced by weight training and cardiovascular exercise. After strength training older adults are able to stand up out of a chair more easily and walk around easier and are able to walk further and faster. There is also an improvement in balance and they are able to ascend and descend the stairs faster. As with any exercise program, please consult your physician before beginning any class.

Forever Fit
This 45 minute class is designed to meet the needs of the mature adult. It incorporates stretching, a cardiovascular workout and chair exercises.
Senior Strength
Nautilus Staff instructor will assist you with an orientation and work-out in our express Nautilus circuit.
Zumba Gold®
Fuses international rhythms and easy-to –follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program. This Latin inspired dance fitness class has modified movements and pacing that accommodates the needs of the participants.
Silver Sneakers Range of Motion®
Consists of chair exercises which will help improve range of motion, balance and stability. This class follows music and utilizes hand weights, resistance bands and exercise balls.
Silver Yoga
An easy stretch class integrating basic yoga poses.
Tai-Chi
Learn the movements of Tai-Chi, which increase balance and flexibility. This program is great for relaxation and stress relief.
