Summer Theater

Weekdays – June 26 – July 7

Children will learn singing, dancing, acting and theater arts during the two-week period.
The camp will culminate in a musical production in the evening of the last day.

For Children entering 1st or 2nd grade in 2017
Fees: Nonmember: $150 Skan/Aub YMCA Member: $100 (includes T-shirt cost)

For Children entering 3 rd , 4 th or 5th grade in 2017
Fee: Nonmember: $200 Skan/Aub YMCA Member: $150 (includes T-shirt cost)

For Children entering 6th-9th grade in 2017

Fee: Nonmember: $275 Skan/Aub YMCA Members: $225 (includes T-shirt cost)

Y instructor Viera Willcox will teach, support and encourage exploration and
creativity working with food.
Children will have many take home parts to the class. When registering please be aware that
children may be working with food allergens. Please notify staff of food allergies.

Visit the Y with your favorite doll for our BFF party. We will have games,activities and crafts based on American Girl®Themes. Learn about history, play games and create crafts. No need to have an American Girl Doll, just bring along her favorite cousin!

BARBIE’S® Summer Vacation

Ages 5 – 10yrs July 24 -28 1:15-4:00pm Join us for fun summer Barbie games and activities and creative time. Make fabulous summer accessories for Barbie! Children will have time to play Barbie and their friends. Everyone will bring home a Barbie and all the accessories that they make.

Summer Lego Life

AGES 6-11 9

AM –12 pm or 1-4 pm

Children will work on Lego challenges, Work collaboratively on group tasks and have free Lego time!

Babysitter Training

This course will help future babysitters understand their role and responsibilities
We will cover home and child safety, allergies, how to plan activities and touch base on first aid/cpr.

Summer Learn to Play Volleyball Camp
With Coach Alex Hughes
For Grades 3 -6
July 10 – July 14 | 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Why wait until middle school to start having fun playing volleyball? This camp is open to any and all 3rd- 6th graders (girls and boys) that are looking for an opportunity to experience what volleyball is all about. We have designed this camp specifically with young players in mind and modified our
equipment, techniques, drills and games to make learning volleyball fun. This is the perfect camp for those players who have always wanted to play, but never had the opportunity.
What to bring: volleyball or all court type shoes, and a water bottle
All players receive a camp t-shirt and pizza on the last day.

Summer Volleyball Camp
For Grades 7 -12
With Coach Doreen Doctor & Coach Alex Hughes

July 10 – July 14 | 8:30am – 12:00pm

This camp is designed for girls of all levels that are looking to learn and become
better at volleyball. Whether you’re a beginner, an intermediate player or an advanced
competitor, you’ll receive expert coaching geared specifically to your level. This camp is
designed to teach, develop, and fine tune the correct fundamental skills of setting,
passing, serving, hitting, and defensive play. Through competitive drills, exercises and game
play, along with one-on-one instruction, players will receive coaching adapted to their skill
level and age.
What to bring: volleyball or all court type shoes, knee pads (optional), water bottle
All players receive a camp t-shirt and pizza on the last day.

Coach Doctor is a long time Skaneateles Varsity Volleyball Coach with over 200 career
wins, 5 league championships and 5 section titles.

Coach Hughes is a former Skaneateles
varsity volleyball player, a 4-year collegiate starter at St. Michaels College and SUNY
Geneseo and former assistant club volleyball coach.
